Hi, we are the team behind the Lady’s Slip, Sandra Power and Miriam Keating, we know each other a hell of a long time – on account of the fact that we are sisters, but luckily enough we are also best friends!

I’m (Sandra), I’m married to Paul, and I’m a mum of 3, Rachael (24), Dean (10) and Jack (5), and Miriam is mum to one, “King” Conor, and their new addition, a very spoiled collie called Buddy. We live within minutes of each other and we spend the majority of our spare time together also. Yep, we are those annoying sisters who actually get on great, so it was a no-brainer that when I was setting up the business, Miriam would be the first person I would call to get involved.

We have had great craic setting up the business, picking colours, brainstorming ideas, and indeed getting stuck into painting, scrubbing – and who knew, we are also flat-pack queens.

We have both spoken for years about how hard it is to get a good fitting bra in Waterford city and the surrounding area, especially as both of us are ahem not lacking in the boob department. After years of travelling to buy bras, we decided that it was time to take the matter in to our own hands.

Here’s a few quick questions to help you get to know us better!

  1. 1

How did you start your day?

Miriam: With a very chilly dip in the ocean followed by coffee & chat with friend’s, it sets me up for the day.
  2. 2

Do you have any good luck charms?

Sandra: I have a little angel that was sent to me by a good friend when I was going through a very rough time a few years ago, it shows up in random places in my house, and always brings me comfort.
  3. 3

Do you prefer working from home or the office?

Miriam: It has to be the office due to my procrastination tendencies, I will literally do anything except the work I’m paid to do.
  4. 4

How do you relax at the end of the day?

Sandra: I love to read; my kindle is one of my favourite possessions.
  5. 5

What’s one thing you always travel with?

Miriam: My kindle, I live nothing more on holidays than sitting by a pool sipping a drink & reading a good book.
  6. 6

    Most overused phrase?

Sandra: “Ok, right, here’s what we’re gonna do…” (usually followed by me forgetting what I was going to say)
  7. 7

What do you like to do on your day off?

Sandra: What I would like to do is go for a walk, meet the girls for a coffee, and just enjoy the time – what I actually do, is the school run, cleaning up, and spend the rest of the day at the kitchen table on my laptop and then more school runs!
  8. 8

What’s the last show you binge watched?

Miriam: The Fall, obsessed and just a little terrified at the same time.
  9. 9

    What’s your favourite takeaway?

Sandra: ALL OF THEM – any dinner I don’t have to cook is my favourite!
  10. 10

    What’s your favourite book?

Miriam: The Great Alone, the story of a family who uprooted their whole lives seeking new beginnings in the wilderness of Alaska, the way the story is told you can nearly feel you are actually living there.
